National Day of Prayer (Newark):
The Resident Ministers’ Alliance (ReMA) sponsors the National Day of Prayer event held each year, the first Thursday of the month of May on the steps of Newark City Hall. It is well attended by citizens, local churches, and City Officials.
Clergy Appreciation Banquet:
Each year on the first Friday in the month of October ReMA sponsors and host the Annual Clergy Appreciation Banquet. October is Clergy Appreciation month and the Clergy Banquet provides a forum to recognize the invaluable contributions made to Newark and surrounding area residents by our committed clergy men and women.
The Resident Ministers’ Alliance recently initiated an effort aimed at forming “scout type” groups of youth known as Royal Rangers. Currently there is one “outpost” operative with plans to strategically open and operate others throughout the City of Newark.
The Walk-A-Thon provides recreational enjoyment for ReMA members, family and friends. It’s a walk through Branch Brook Park during the week of the Cherry Blossoms and affords opportunity for those who are willing to provide financial support to the operation of our ex- offenders employment agency and the
